BizGurukul: Real or Fake?

BizGurukul

BizGurukul is an online education platform commonly categorized into e-learning industry. Its head quarters is New Delhi, Ritwiz Tiwari is the founder and CEO and Rohit Sharma is the Co-Founder and Business head. It provides services in the name of skill development related to Business Development, Career Building, Digital Marketing, Entrepreneurship etc.

Is it real or fake?

Though all the courses are mentioned on their platform, one cannot purchase them directly. Because, they have come up with an idea which is affiliate program. In this Person-1 should refer Person-2 with the referral link or sponsor ID. By this Person-1 gets a hefty commission nearly 65% which seems very lucrative.

Irrespective of one’s educational background, qualification, age and age gap anyone can be part of this program and earn by referring another. The main focus of the BizGurukul is to provide quality e-learning courses to its customers. It also provides an opportunity to be an affiliate through its affiliate program. It helps in earning commissions on promotion of the courses available on their platform. Though the main idea of a person joining the platform is to learn courses and earn money, eventually people are getting attracted by the hefty commissions and getting encouraged to refer and join others in this affiliate program.

Once a students enrolls in the program he/she gets own dashboard with pre-recorded courses for life time. How to earn as an affiliate will be given training via live and pre-recorded webinars. The training to promote the courses and earn as an affiliate is very focused and is given for free. This might make a student to get deviated from his main aim of learning any course but its up to that particular student to continue to be a part of affiliate program or not. Its not compulsory that every student who enrolls continue to be an affiliate. However as the commission are hefty students are getting attracted by this and getting encouraged to join others as this can be a passive source of income.

However there are advantages of joining BizGurukul too. Student can learn courses and start to work as a freelancer and be an affiliate in the platform and do affiliate marketing. Generally, to be an affiliate marketer one has to own his/her own website or blog and need to purchase domain names and SSL certificates. Here by enrolling into BizGurukul platform one can avoid the the cost of purchasing and maintaining it. Without spending anything on domains, one can start earning immediately just by purchasing the courses and promoting them.

Buying any plan among the five would require an affiliate sponsor details by which the affiliate gets the commission who closed the sale. When it comes to the content provided by BizGurukul, most of the content is available directly on YouTube, Google and several other website for free.

Some of the platforms where you can get it for free:

  1. greatlearning.in
  2. coursera.org
  3. simplilearn.com
  4. udemy.com
  5. swayam.gov.in

Note: This is not to promote the above platforms

The skills given by the BizGurukul can be learnt through other platforms as well for free but the added advantage is affiliate marketing by which one can earn in addition to their studies. They claim that on an average an affiliate can earn 2.5 to 3.5 lakhs per annum which is a lucrative amount for a student to begin his/her career. As per their records the maximum amount earned by an affiliate through this program is 45 lakhs in an approximate period of 12 months.

Conclusion:

In binary mode, most multilevel marketing companies (MLMs) pay commission on new recruits and then a “so-called” royalty income based on the quantity of new recruits. Since the core of BizGurukul’s business strategy is to offer its education package to as many people as possible in the “1: n” module, the company does not pay royalties. In exchange, it gives the sponsor a commission that is directly based on the package that both the sponsor and the recruit purchased.

It is very clear that it completely depends on the student whether to learn course or do affiliate marketing which appears to be a camouflaged multi layer marketing. In my opinion young students are getting attracted to the commissions and getting deviated from their original purpose to upskill. Hence, one should take a scrupulous decision keeping their purpose in mind.
